WARNING! DO NOT WATCH THE VIDEO (ABOVE) OR READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ONE OF THE SONGS THE GLEEKS WILL BE PERFORMING IN THEIR SEASON FINALE.
It’s been quite a week for the cast of Glee. They’ve literally taken New York by storm, popping up everywhere from Times Square to Lincoln Center, Sardis to Tiffanys and beyond!
From a tweet earlier this week by Cory Monteith, we knew that the Gleeks had put together a special New York tribute mashup for the episode, but so far, we were in the dark about what they might perform. Never in our wildest dreams could we have come up with THIS!
Check out the video (above), shot in Central Park by a fan watching from the sidelines, and listen very closely to the playback. If we’re not mistaken (and we doubt that we are) we think they are singing Madonna’s I Love New York mixed with New York, New York from On The Town!
Is that not just…TREMENDOUS!!! We’re totally stoked about this!!! It’s such a good – and underrated – Madge song!!!
Way to go, Ryan Murphy!!! That’s a win!!
