This week, Brooke Hogan accused her parents Hulk and Linda Hogan of “vicious” abuse, which caused her to cut them both off. Linda has already clapped back by calling her a “narcissist,” but now sources are claiming the pro wrestler has NO IDEA why this estrangement started in the first place! Seriously??
Referring to Hulk by his real name, Terry Gene Bollea, an insider told Us Weekly on Saturday:
“Terry not speaking to Brooke is [a] much more recent thing.”
The source claimed he “tells people he doesn’t specifically know why Brooke won’t speak to him.”

Similar to his ex-wife, the source thinks a lot of the issues might stem from their divorce, the confidant pointed out:
“A lot of damage was done during their divorce.”
Linda and Hulk filed for divorce in 2007 after two decades together. It was finalized about two years later. When Hulk got remarried (for a third time) in 2023, Brooke did not attend the ceremony to protect her “healing and happiness.” Despite the unfortunate allegations, the source insisted, “Terry has for sure tried to be a good dad” and is still “very close” to the couple’s other child, Nick.
The inneresting thing here is that Linda has blamed her estrangement with Brooke on the divorce too — but for the opposite reason! In an emotional video that started this ordeal, she cried while claiming Brooke stopped talking to the family after “a huge fight with Terry” years ago. She later suggested her daughter took her father’s side in the split.
As for where Linda stands on the matter, she told TMZ on Friday that she’s ready to take the 36-year-old to court if she doesn’t stop this so-called smear campaign! Damn!
She denied ever being physically abusive to her child, accusing the singer of confusing normal parental discipline with “abuse” to damage her mom’s reputation. She insisted that the punishment given to Brooke was not abuse. While she “maybe” spanked the musician once “when she was 7 years old,” the rest was more focused on making sure Brooke just straightened up.
So, why does she think this is Hulk’s fault? Linda claimed the athlete let the kids get away with anything when they were kids because he needed to be liked by everyone, forcing her to be the “bad cop” to ensure her kids wouldn’t grow up to be “spoiled rich brats,” as the outlet put it. Sadly, she thinks the latter happened anyway. Jeez!
The 65-year-old also told the outlet she hasn’t spoken to Brooke in years, blaming it on Brooke wanting to stay close to Hulk after their divorce — only so she could be close to his fame and money!
While she doesn’t think she has anything to apologize for, Linda noted she’s lost track of how many times she’s allegedly tried to reach out and make amends with her firstborn, expressing:
“The love is gone.”
The mother believes her daughter is trying to run away from her past as she builds her new family, perhaps because she’s embarrassed and ashamed of her party-girl days.
Meanwhile, a source close to Brooke said she hasn’t spoken to Linda in years and that her number is blocked. The confidant doesn’t think there’s any chance this will ever change. Brooke, now a mother of two, also denies ever physically harming Linda, calling her mom’s claim that she broke her collarbone a lie. Brooke is now focused on her family and raising her twins and is ready to put this all behind her.
Whoa. This remains such a messy situation…
