A few months ago, rumors were flying faster than Santa’s sled on Christmas Eve that Jay Z and Barneys were having “secret talks” about a special holiday collaboration.
And it turns out those rumors were 110% true!
Hova is partnering with the retailer to bring “A New York Holiday” to the world, which includes a collection of limited edition designs with labels like Lanvin, Balenciaga, Balmain, Proenza Schouler, and many many more!!
Jay opened up about the project, saying:
“With this project, Barneys New York and I were able to take the slickness, energy and innovation of New York City and translate that into quality, timeless pieces. Everything that encompasses ├óΓé¼╦£A New York Holiday├óΓé¼Γäó ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ the items chosen, the amazing designers that participated, the windows, the design of the BNY SCC Gallery ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ represents a perfect example of a unique and groundbreaking collaboration that I hope demonstrates how inspiring New York has been to me.”
The BNY SCC products will be available from November 20th until January 3rd both at Barneys stores and online, and feature mostly male-oriented items fashioned in a white, black, silver, and gold color palate. HAWT!
The prices will range depending on each piece, but to give a ballpark sense a T-shirt will start at $70, while the Shawn Carter by Hublot 45 mm watch will cost $33,900 for the yellow gold version and $17,900 for the polished black ceramic version.
To keep to the holiday spirit, 25% of all sales will go toward the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, which helps students who get overlooked by other scholarship programs.
