Did a secret rendezvous occur between Jessica Simpson and former flame John Mayer on Saturday night????
Well, kinda, sorta.
Mayer was reportedly working late at his studio this weekend when he decided to meet up with J. Simpleton, Asslee and Ken Paves at paparazzi magnet Katsuya for din.
One of Mayer’s buddies An “insider” has already squashed any rumors that the two may pick up where they left off.
Says the source, “He said hello and he hung out a little bit but he left separately. He├óΓé¼Γäós really good friends with Jess├óΓé¼Γäó brother-in-law Pete Wentz; he sees Ashlee a lot├óΓé¼┬ª It├óΓé¼Γäós not out of the ordinary that he sees them and goes over and hangs out for a while.”
Not even one last hookup for old times’ sake??? But the meet up does explain why Jess was all smiles as she was snapped leaving the restaurant.
The source adds, “They├óΓé¼Γäóve always been friendly. They├óΓé¼Γäóre still friendly, but that├óΓé¼Γäós it.”
Booooring!
