On Monday, it was revealed that Joe Simpson has prostate cancer. A rep confirmed that Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson‘s father was diagnosed with the devastating disease.

But, a source told Us Weekly the 58-year-old is doing well, after having surgery for the illness two months ago. The insider explained:
“The surgery went well.”
The confidante also confessed that his daughters have been “super supportive” during this tough time.
The good news is his rep also confirmed to People that the famous father is in recovery, and a source even told the mag he’s currently in good spirits, revealing:
“He’s feeling great now and is optimistic. He’s felt so much love and support from his family and friends.”
That’s such a relief.
We’re so glad Papa Joe is recovering from such a scary sickness.
