Jim Edmonds is proving that he has nothing to hide from the public.
The former baseball star took to Instagram over the weekend to blast commentary about his alleged affair with his former nanny amid his split from estranged wife Meghan King Edmonds. And in the process of denying the nanny rumors, Jim took the time to show how proud of a dad he is for his relationship with daughter Hayley Edmonds, as the pair enjoyed a concert together on Saturday night.

The 49-year-old former MLB star was spotted at Post Malone‘s Saturday night concert in Anaheim, California with a very young, female companion — and speculation immediately hit that he was with the alleged nanny in question at the center of the drama between the former baseball star and his estranged wife.
But Jim wasted no time in taking to his private Instagram page to clarify things before it got too controversial, revealing he had actually gone to the concert with his very own daughter, 22-year-old Hayley, as he wrote in this message with the pic (below):
“I took my first steps outside in a while last night with my beautiful daughter Hayley. Trying to repair a broken situation and heart that should not be broken. For all you people out there that think that I would be with our nanny. You [need] to get a life!. I have a family and kids to worry about and that’s my only worry right now. Everyone else, BYE!”
Wow.

Looks like a nice, fun time between daddy and daughter, doesn’t it?! Nothing more, nothing less. (BTW, the original caption that you see in the screenshot there was since edited, and Jim reportedly removed any mention of the nanny at all.)

Obviously, the last few weeks have been contentious and very dramatic, for both Jim and Meghan, as each party has made life a little more difficult for the other in their grind down into an inevitable divorce. It’s clear the former pro athlete here was a man just trying to have fun for a night with his daughter and let off some steam… but even that can be tough in the reality TV realm. Yikes!
