Joe Giudice 'Overwhelmed With Emotions' Over Canceled Easter Visit With His Daughters Due To Coronavirus

Joe Giudice is disappointed he did not get to spend Easter with his four daughters.

Joe Giudice is reeling with emotion after spending Easter weekend away from his beloved family — and considering what they’ve all been through recently, we really feel for the guy!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum took to Instagram on Sunday and said he felt “overwhelmed with emotions” after plans to reunite with daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana had been canceled over travel restrictions due to the novel coronavirus.

Teresa Giudice‘s ex shared a slideshow featuring adorable photos of his brood’s holiday celebrations over the years. Alongside the heartfelt post, he wrote:

“For ?, my family and I were to reunite instead the unthinkable happened, not a day, hour, min. goes by that I don’t think about the girls. Special occasions are the hardest without them it feels emptier and less joyful. I felt overwhelmed with emotions so I ✍️[write].”

Joe extended his sympathy to anyone who might find themselves in his position and away from their loved ones:

“My heart breaks for anyone who is going through not seeing their kids, wife, parents, or loss. This has taught me to be grateful and humbled by all my experiences it reinforced the idea of never taking anything for granted, especially my babies. Happy Easter everyone! “Happy Easter from me and my ‘ZOOM’ Peeps to you,” he included with a second throwback video featuring his kids, suggesting the crew was still able to get together digitally instead. If so, good for them! Although non-traditional, it’s definitely the safer and smarter way to go right now:

Back in March, when the Italian government took the unprecedented step to officially lock down the country in to contain the spread of COVID-19, Joe initially scoffed at the measure and claimed, “more people die from Viagra (heart attacks and drug overdose) everyday than this Coronavirus.” The virus has since spread globally, and several countries, including the US, have also enforced social distancing and restricted international travel.

Had this not been the case, it would’ve been a much-needed reunion amidst a difficult time for the Giudice clan. As reported, Teresa’s father Giacinto Gorga suddenly passed away earlier this month; he was only 76. We learned just how close the starlet’s kids were to their grandfather in the touching tributes she shared on social media to mourn his passing. At the time, she wrote:

“At this trying time I’m graciously asking for any extra prayers, good vibes, love….please send my fathers way. My father is struggling and my girls and I need him, we need his love, his presence & his strength. #thepowerofprayers ??❤️

Joe also paid his respects to Giancinto on IG, writing:

“Salute ?????? Thank you, I will forever be grateful. It is because of you that my girls know how to cook pasta, eggplant, and how to drive (lol),” Joe wrote. “Thank you for always being a great grandfather and FIL. You will be greatly missed by all of us especially because your absence was never seen, but you taught us to not to be afraid and never fear the future! My girls are strong from our great team effort! Today, I honor you for helping support my girls dreams.”

We continue to keep the entire family in our thoughts and hope they all found some sort of comfort in each other right now.
