Looks like the whole gang is going down!
Lance Armstrong’s longtime cycling coach Johan Bruyneel has been banned from all sports for a decade for helping his players dope!
Even though the four-day hearing happened last December, the verdict wasn├óΓé¼Γäót handed down until Tuesday, when they also gave the team trainer Jose “Pepe” Marti and doctor Pedro Celaya eight-year bans for the drugs.
As for Bruyneel, he knows his goose was cooked, and only added:
“I do not dispute that there are certain elements of my career that I wish had been different. However, a very small minority of us has been used as scapegoats for an entire generation.”
So, basically he’s upset that he’s the one who got caught…
The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency feels differently, and their ruling stated:
“Each witness testified that Mr. Bruyneel organized, assisted, and encouraged the use of doping for riders on those teams.├óΓé¼┬¥
And the reason that Bruyneel has been banned longer than the usual four years is because these guys were deemed to be part of a much bigger doping conspiracy.
