Think your parents are showoffs? Lola Consuelos has ya beat.
In a video for People’s inaugural family issue, the 19-year-old sat down with her mother Kelly Ripa and revealed what kind of behavior she prefers not to see on her parents’ social media pages. All the kind most fans can’t stop looking at! LOLz!
The topic came up after the pair discussed the Live With Kelly and Ryan host’s clapbacks at her Instagram haters. Lola insisted she’d never respond to her trolls, but her 49-year-old mother argued that clapbacks are all part of the fun of online entertainment.

The TV personality mused:
“That’s why the people follow me. They want to see it.”
Although the Gen Z-er understood Kelly’s logic, she discouraged her mom from feeding her trolls, claiming “these people are sitting at home wishing they were you.”
Kelly doubled down on her philosophy, though, sharing:
“I think my haters and I have a healthy relationship with each other. I think that it’s a give-and-take. Because I think that the people that I clap back to are very clever; they’re usually very funny; I usually get a good chuckle out of it. Then, they deserve the little pepper.”
But Lola wasn’t having it. She countered:
“We don’t need any clapbacks. Irrelevant people should stay out of our lives.”
Unsurprisingly, that wasn’t the only note Lola had for her famously TMI mother about social media etiquette.
Kelly said she had a feeling her daughter would have told her not to post “thirst trap pictures” of her husband Mark Consuelos. At the mention of said thirst traps, Lola gagged:
“That’s disgusting. I blocked that out of my mind. I forgot that you even did that.”
We sure didn’t!
#daddy indeed!
Lola also called her mother’s “belfie” (aka butt selfie) “ridiculous.”
Meanwhile Momma is encouraging her teen daughter to flaunt even more! While talking about their personal styles and sharing clothes, Lola admitted to borrowing her mother’s clothes when she “wanted something that showed off my figure.” Kelly hilariously (and embarrassingly) responded:
“If I had your figure, I’d be showing it off too. I’d be sitting her naked. I’d be sitting here, no clothes on, in the woods.”
Ha! While her parents may be exhibitionists, Lola is the opposite; she’s so shy she recently took down all her public Instagram posts!
Thirsty IG behavior aside, Lola admitted she couldn’t have asked for a better mother than the daytime darling, telling Kelly:
“I admire so much about you. but I really admire how you’ve raised me to be a confident and hardworking woman. And I feel like you’ve taught me the importance of growing up as a woman in this world. I have an amazing example in front of my eyes of what a hardworking, amazing woman is.”
But Lola better avert her eyes soon: Mark recently revealed that he and Kelly are looking forward to being naked all the time once their youngest child Joaquin heads off to college next year.
The 49-year-old Riverdale actor told People earlier this month:
“Rob Lowe says that once your kids leave, you pretty much never put clothes on ever again; you’re just naked all the time.”
Unfortunately for Lola (but fortunately for us), that probably means many more thirst traps in the future!
