Kendra Wilkinson is breaking down the very complicated relationship she’s had with sex for her entire adult life — and the very complicated relationship she has with ex-husband Hank Baskett, too!
On Thursday’s brand new episode of the Amy & T.J. podcast hosted by daytime TV talk show veterans Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, the 39-year-old nude model and reality TV veteran opened all the way up about, well, everything.

For one, the Girls Next Door alum chose to get really honest about how she views sex. After all, she’s not 18 years old anymore like she was back in 2004 when she moved into the Playboy Mansion to live with Playboy mag founder Hugh Hefner and the rest of the girls that wound up on the famous reality TV series.
So, when unpacking her complicated feelings towards intimacy at this stage of her life, Kendra acknowledged the long road to where we are now. Admitting that she had “a little bit of a sex problem” in her earlier days, she explained:
“I struggle still to this day with my relationships and my views on sex. I had to go through a lot of therapy, and they looked at me and they’re like — this is the first time I’m admitting this — but they’re like, ‘You might have a little bit of a sex problem. You have a little bit of a problem when it comes to thinking of sex.’”
Amy pressed Kendra for specifics, to which the former Playboy playmate answered:
“You know, it’s just unhealthy thoughts. Not really settling for a marriage and stuff like that — which is not, I wouldn’t say unhealthy — I’m saying that everyone has their choices, and some people wanna be single, some people wanna be married … and I’m more of a fun idea type of person.”
Inneresting…
Of course, Kendra was only 23 years old when she eventually moved out of the mansion once she met — and quickly fell in love with — Hank. The two tied the knot not long after that, then welcomed two kids together: namesake son Hank Jr., 15, and spittin’ image daughter Alijah, 10. However, the pair eventually divorced in 2018.
That split — and the seven years that have transpired since — has Kendra feeling some type of way. On the podcast, she called her marriage to Hank “the happiest days of my entire life.” She also admitted to being utterly devastated after the two of them opted to split up as part of a particularly messy divorce:
“Those days were the happiest days of my life. And so when those days came to an end, I crumbled so hard, and it almost killed me. It almost killed me. … I left the Playboy Mansion at age 23, got pregnant, got married at the age of 23, then started my life as a wife and a mother, and it was the golden years of my life.”
But no matter how bad the divorce may have gone, nor how much nostalgia she has looking back on her life years ago, Kendra can at least confidently say that she made the right moves to leave Hef’s world and get with Hank:
“It was the right timing. I found myself so bored at the Playboy Mansion. I was just like, ‘I’m ready to leave this place. I’m ready to start a family. I’m ready for the … lifestyle: My kids go to a great school. I’m a soccer mom. I’m a softball mom. I’m a basketball mom. I was ready for that. I manifested it, and it came to me, and I met the perfect man, the man of my dreams.”
And specifically talking about the former NFL wide receiver himself, she added:
“Even though we’re divorced, he’s the father of my kids, and he’s the most amazing father to my kids, and I know I chose right with him.”
Obviously, these are all pretty surprising statements considering how brutally bad the couple’s breakup went. Holmes picked up on that during the interview, and queried Kendra further. But in responding, she was graceful, forgiving, and kind.

Kendra acknowledged that both she and Hank made “too many” mistakes while together, in part because they were “so young.” And even though she lamented the loss of their connection, the star did admit that she’ll “always be in love” with the former football player, adding:
“It takes two people to be in a relationship … and when one person changes their minds on love and marriage, that’s how easy it is for it to fall apart. So, I will always, always want my family back together. I will always want that. So, till the day I die. I don’t know if I have another chance at marriage with that man or not. I will always want my kids to have these two parents together. But, unfortunately, that’s a fantasy, you know.”
“Another chance at marriage”?!?! Damn!!
Hearing all that emotional talk, Robach piped up and said the exact thing that we are thinking now:
“It sounds like you’re still in love with Hank.”
Yuuuup. And Kendra conceded the point! She replied:
“I will always be in love with Hank.”
Whoa!
The blonde bombshell went on to put it into context:
“Mistakes are mistakes. We all make mistakes. I’ve made my mistakes … but love will never go away. And if it’s real love, you’re gonna put your pride aside and want the best for the other person. And I want the best for the other person so badly. … There’s no need for bitterness, and there’s no need for toxicity.”
Damn. That’s a really mature way to look at it. Honestly, we love that for her. (And for Hank, and for the ex-couple’s two children who they co-parent together!)
Trying to sum up how much has changed over the last six years of her life, Kendra explained:
“Through these last six years, I have done so much therapy. I’ve gone to the hospital for seven days to just reprogram my thinking, and I did that, and it really worked. So I’m now living in the state of peace of mind. You know, I’m on good meds. I’m just in a really good place.”
And then, because the podcast’s hosts AND listeners couldn’t let her off the hook without a little bit of a love life update, Kendra did cop to currently choosing to “dabble into some sex” every now and then while not appearing to keen to lock anyone down:
“I have nothing. I might dabble into some sex every now and then — but to date and be in a relationship? That’s the longest farfetched thing I could possibly feel at the moment. I’m in a bachelorette-type of vibe right now.”
But that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have any sultry prospects!! The sexy star-turned-real estate agent revealed:
“I do have two very young, attractive, ex-NFL players that are, like, all up on me right now, and it makes me feel young.”
Ooh!
Love that for her.
