Ke$ha you bad girl! What have you done??
The animal-friendly pop star should be ashamed of herself!
Apparently, back in 2012, Ke$ha was secretly detained by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for bring illegal ivory into the country!
She apparently had a $500 ivory “snuff box” in her possession. What the heck is a snuff box?? That sounds terrifying!!!
This is kinda a huuuuuge deal because the pop star, currently in rehab, was an American Humane Society Global Ambassador!
Michelle Cho, the Vice President of The Humane Society of the United States, said:
“Ke$ha apparently bought a piece of jewelry at a thrift shop and was unaware it was ivory. It is not uncommon for even the most dedicated animal lover to mistakenly buy ivory when they think it├óΓé¼Γäós another material. Ke$ha, like other animal advocates, assures us she would never knowingly contribute to such a gruesome industry.”
We really really reallllllly hope that’s true!
We just can’t believe that Ke$ha would’ve actually bought real illegal ivory if she had known.
She knows the suffering an elephant goes through when they are senselessly killed for their tusks.
Let’s hope her stint in rehab goes well and that she feels awful about the whole ivory incident so that it never happens again.
