Kim Cattrall fully supports Cynthia Nixon running for New York governor — or doing anything else, for that matter!
The 61-year-old actress responded to a fan on Twitter who asked what she thought about her former Sex & The City costar’s decision to run against Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a Democratic primary.

Cattrall’s diplomatic response was less of a shining endorsement of Nixon’s political qualifications than it was support for people to be in charge of their own careers. She replied:
I support & respect any former colleague’s right to make their own career choices. https://t.co/zae7nJ6VFi

Oh? Career choices like, say, NOT wanting to be in a third Sex and the City movie? Did she really manage to subtextually shade Sarah Jessica Parker in that reply?
Either way, it’s nice to see Cattrall sharing kind words about her costars, though not nearly as kind as Kristin Davis, who enthusiastically tweeted after Nixon’s announcement:
I am so proud of @CynthiaNixon , no one cares more than she does about EVERY person getting a fair change and a good education. I know that she would be an excellent Governor ! https://t.co/xEAyRxFBb8

So sweet. Now the only question is: how enthusiastic will SJP’s endorsement be?
