When Kristin Bauer was at an adoption even for Best Friend’s Animal Society and there was just a single dog left, Asher, she knew what she had to do.
“That metal truck pulled up and I just couldn’t put him in there. So the city said, ‘Well, do you have $37?’ I had a little bag of dog treats and I looked through it and there was $38.”
Asher has a best friend, another rescue dog, Ozmand, and they have more siblings, Samuel and Abigail, two kitties.
About the large animal family, Kristin said:
“They’re my children. I like to rescue animals in twos.”
She even joked about her fifth “rescue:”
“Then I rescued my husband the South African, so I have five rescues.”
Sounds like a big, happy family.
