While discussing the adoption of her baby daughter Gemma Rose on Good Morning America, Kristin Davis admitted that she wish she had adopted a child when she was younger.
She reveals:
“It’s a lot of responsibility being a single mom. In some ways, I wish I had come by it sooner, but then again, I wouldn’t have Gemma, so that would be bad.
I was very nervous about domestic… I had planned to do it internationally, but it was 3-5 years and I just couldn’t wait that long.
Here in our country we have kids in need and the foster system is not a great option, so once I made the decision, it moved very quickly, and I have a beautiful, healthy baby girl.”
Everything happens for a reason.
While it might seem ideal to be younger to take care of children, it seems like Kristin waited for the perfect moment to finally adopt. After all, like she said, she wouldn’t have Gemma!
