Lea Michele has CONFIRMED via Twitter that Broadway sensation Idina Menzel is returning to Glee as Rachel’s sassy mamma/the adopted mamma of Quinn’s baby!
Cory Monteith‘s musically gifted ladylove tweeted:

SO glad that Idina is getting in some Glee facetime before retuning to the Great White Way for her upcoming, brand new, original PLAY!
BUT this wickedly wonderful announcement isn’t the only treat Lea Michele served up today via Twitter…
She also posted some on-set pics of herself dressed as EMPRESS Barbra Streisand, which means she will be covering MORE of the icon’s tunes in a future episode of Glee!!
OH we can barely take it! Lea ALWAYS sings Babz beautifully, and we can’t WAIT to hear what tune she will belt while dressed in her Funny Girl finest!
