Somebody catch that kitty!
A leopard that wandered into the Indian city of Meerut is causing sheer panic and has reportedly injured at least two people now!
OMG! Look at the picture (above) of it jumping off the side of a building as a man dodges out of its way!
Schools throughout the region were closed after the big cat prowled into a hospital, a movie theater and an apartment complex, all while authorities tried and failed at capturing the animal!
District official S.K. Dubey explained just how elusive the leopard is, saying:
“Despite our best efforts, we have been unable to track the leopard down. We have launched a massive hunt for the beast.├óΓé¼┬¥
Wildlife officials did manage to track the cat down over the weekend and fired a tranquilizer dart into his side.
But that STILL didn’t take him down!
He is still believed to be roaming around the city of 3.5 million people, of which residents are being asked to stay inside until he is caught!
Scary stuff!
A leopard can’t change his spots but he can certainly change the spot he hangs out in! Hopefully he returns back to the jungle soon!
