Prosecutors Ask Judge To Dismiss Mark Salling's Child Pornography Case After Suicide

UPDATE 3:05 P.M. EST: United States District Judge Otis D. Wright signed off on Wednesday to dismiss Mark Salling‘s case, according to The Blast.

Prosecutors have filed court documents asking the federal judge to dismiss Mark Salling‘s child pornography case.
As you know, the 35-year-old Glee alum committed suicide on January 30 after pleading guilty to possession of child porn involving a prepubescent minor. He was facing four to seven years in prison, and had previously agreed to pay $50K restitution to each victim. Now, that’s all up in the air.

Interestingly enough, TMZ says the U.S. Attorney is asking to dismiss the case “without prejudice,” which means they can file the case again in the future if they wish. But, since Salling is deceased, that’s probably not going to happen.
