Mother Is Arrested After Toddler Laughs In Library

The crazy workers at the DeKalb County Library in Atlanta seem to have a problem with the joyful sound of a child.

Donnetta Foster — a 20-year-old student and single mom — was looking for a job on the public computers when her 14-month-old Savon, had the audacity to make “a laughing noise while looking at an animal flash card.”

According to the police report, Ms. Foster then grew “irate, yelling in a loud and boisterous manner.” She left the library, then returned “within minutes…yelling and cursing.” She was then arrested by police.

Foster’s trial has been set for September 13, before Judge Janis Gordon. Let’s hope Judge Janis understands the compelling joy a animal flash card can cause.
