Monica Lewinsky Says Bill Clinton Should Have RESIGNED Over Predatory Affair -- Do U Agree??

Nearly 30 years after her infamous affair with the President of the United States, Monica Lewinsky has thoughts on how he should have handled the situation.

The now-51-year-old sat down with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast on Tuesday where she reflected on the media storm she was at the center of after her affair with Bill Clinton went public. When asked the hard-hitting question of how she believes Clinton should have handled the disaster, she became visibly perplexed as she admitted she’s never been asked that question before. But that didn’t stop her from giving a strong take! She said:

“I think that the right way to handle a situation like that would have been to probably say it was nobody’s business, and to resign.

OMG!

It would have kept him from lying under oath in office — which, let’s face it, he totally did. And it also might have helped to protect the sanctity of the office — something that could have saved us a major headache a couple decades later if it worked. Instead, he denied and deflected and ended up facing impeachment.

And the public firestorm ended up being worse for Lewinsky than for him. In the episode she talked about how the public reaction quickly shifted from one of sympathy for her then-22-year-old self to one of scrutiny and disapproval as she was called names like “bimbo,” “stalker,” and “mentally unstable” after the White House really kicked into crisis mode. Even though SHE was the young person who was preyed upon by a married cheater who was in his 50s — and held more power than any man in the entire world!

Adding to her response to Alex’s question, Monica offered an alternative to resigning:

“Or to find a way of staying in office that was not lying and not throwing a young person who was just starting out in the world under the bus.”

She continued:

“At the same time, I’m hearing myself say that and it’s like, okay but we’re also talking about the most powerful office in the world, so I don’t want to be naïve either.”

Truly an impossible situation…

She went on to talk about how her situation negatively affected the entire landscape for young women at the time:

“I think there was so much collateral damage for women of my generation to watch a young woman to be pilloried on a world stage — to be torn apart for my sexuality, for my mistakes, for my everything.”

So what do YOU think, Perezcious readers? Do you agree that Clinton should have resigned? Would it have kept politics in the US a little more protected? Or would the truly shameless get in there either way?
