Meghan Markle‘s birth plan is Oprah Winfrey approved!!
As time ticks on and we anxiously await the arrival of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first bundle of joy, there’s plenty of speculation about what their name will be. But one thing for certain is that the television mogul is “so proud” of her close friend!

The 65-year-old opened up to Entertainment Tonight about the parents-to-be’s choice to keep the baby’s birth a private affair:
“Oh my God! I’m so proud of her decisions. To be able to stand up and say ‘this is what I really want for my baby and my family and now I’m going to do it a different way when it’s been done that way for a thousand years?'”
If you’ve been following Miz Markle’s journey from Suits star to Duchess, it should come as no surprise she likes to do things differently, so giving birth is obviously no exception!
Royal author Ingrid Seward recently surmised to People how Buckingham Palace likely feels about all the changes:
“People are delighted that Meghan is doing things differently. She was under no pressure to do things the same.”
The momma-to-be will not be delivering her bundle of joy at Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in Westminster, where Princess Diana delivered Prince William and Harry, as well as where Kate Middleton delivered Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, and that’s totally OK, says Seward:
“It is completely understandable. The Lindo Wing has become too much of a circus.”
The Oprah Winfrey Network CEO continued to praise her pal:
“I’m just so proud of her for being able to stand [up for] what works for her and Harry, and what is the truth for them, how they want to raise their baby.”

The A Wrinkle In Time actress isn’t the only Hollywood heavy hitter by Meg’s side! Bestiez Serena Williams, Amal Clooney, and Priyanka Chopra, as well as George Clooney are all in her corner.
The 57-year-old actor has opened up on more than one occasion about how the press treats his pal:
“I think it’s a little unfair at times when – I’ve seen it when the press can turn on you for sort of ridiculous reasons and for almost nothing, and it seemed to me to be a little unjust since [Meghan] hadn’t done anything except just happen to live her life. Most of it you can just shrug off and not pay attention to, but sometimes it’s unkind.”
