It’s been a while since Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz went their separate ways, about three years and a month to be exact!
Although the reasons behind their fall out (all the puns intended) were kept under wraps back then, the Fall Out Boy lyricist candidly opened up to Howard Stern about why their relationship went down hill!

But before everything went south for the former couple, Pete actually thought they would last until the end of time.
He said:
“I thought it was forever. My parents have been married, I think, 35 years. I don’t really know. Forty years, this year, maybe? But no, I didn’t. At the same time, we were both very young.”
No one ever expects their marriage to end!
The 35-year-old dove in head first and revealed when his life with Ashlee started to unravel.
But luckily now, he’s happily dating Meagan Camper and has another son in his life!
