Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Pete Wentz lost his temper when a photog snapped a picture of him and wifey Ashlee Simpson at his 30th birthday party in Las Vegas Saturday night at The Bank Nightclub.

So what’d the bratty bass player do??

He spat on the photographer!!!!

Here’s what our insider had to say: “Inside the club some photgrapher took a photo of Pete and Ashlee and I guess they didn’t ask, so Pete flipped out and went after the guy. His publicist and Ashlee held him back, but he spit on the photographer.”

Spitting is considered assault in the eyes of the law!!!

Wonder if the photog will press charges???
