Princess Catherine is finally back in action!
The Princess of Wales hosted her first official work meeting on Tuesday in nearly ten months since she was diagnosed with cancer and then treated with a course of preventative chemotherapy following major abdominal surgery at the very start of this year. And now, it sounds like things are slowly but surely getting back to normal for Kate Middleton and her family!

According to DailyMail.com, the 42-year-old Princess’ first official work meeting was held at Windsor Castle on Tuesday and centered around her “Early Years” project. Per that outlet, Catherine was joined by members of her household team as well as officials working for her beloved Centre for Early Childhood unit within Kensington Palace.
The meeting was even formally recorded in the Court Circular, which is the historic record meant to track every official royal engagement. In that document, it was noted:
“The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor.”
And it was a major milestone, as it marked the first meeting Catherine has held in any official capacity since a round table discussion way back on December 6 of last year. She was whisked away to that aforementioned abdominal surgery just a few weeks after that, and then her life — and that of Prince William and their children, too — took a drastic turn as she began to bravely and valiantly fight cancer.

But now, she’s back! And we love to see it! Obviously, as we’ve previously reported, it appears as though she will not quite return to work at the exact same torrid pace as that which she had taken on before the cancer battle. And the specific details of this meeting on Tuesday were unfortunately not made available to the public, per that DM report.
But we know that she’s been raring to get healthy and return to her life all the same. And her Centre for Early Childhood is a cause near and dear to her heart personally, too — advocating for children from birth through age five. So, it’s doubly heartwarming to see that her first move back into the fold came as part of that push. Yay!!
