It sounds like Ryan Edwards‘ wife has turned a blind eye to his addiction struggles.
According to a recent report, a pregnant Mackenzie Standifer is in total “denial” about the Teen Mom OG star’s drug issues. As you surely know, Mrs. Edwards defended the MTV vet after he was arrested last month on a petition to revoke warrant. Following the highly publicized arrest, Mackenzie shared that “everything is fine” and claimed the recent jail stint was a part of a previous legal case.

Well, it appears that not EVERYONE is convinced that Ryan is “fine,” especially since Edwards’ ex and baby momma Maci Bookout filed for two orders of protection against him. To make matters worse, an insider has claimed that Ryan’s pregnant lady is completely unaware at how bad the situation is.
The tipster spilled to Us Weekly:
“Mackenzie is in complete abject denial about Ryan’s drug addiction and issues surrounding how very, very serious it truly is. Mackenzie only wants to focus on having his baby and seems to be hoping that this will help him to be inspired to live a clean and sober life.”
Oof. We have a feeling the reality TV personality is going to need some serious help.
The source added:
“Ryan denies the seriousness of the drug addiction, like any addict will do, and Mackenzie chooses to believe him.”
How sad. In case you forgot, Ryan entered rehab in May 2017, after he was caught on camera dosing off while driving en route to his wedding.
Reportedly, a big portion of the recently filmed TMOG reunion is about Edwards’ sobriety. It’s said that those who commented on the situation are truly afraid that Edwards will die due to his drug problem. The confidant explained:
“There was real concern for Ryan’s sobriety at the reunion and he was urged to get further treatment by close to the show off-camera, but refused. There is a genuine and real fear that Ryan could die because of his drug addiction.”
Man, oh man. Hopefully, Ryan and Mackenzie have wake up calls sooner than later… because it sounds like they both need one!
