Uh oh!
We didn’t think it was possible, but according to critics, Ryan Gosling may have very well walked into his first BIG flop with Only God Forgives!
And to think it was the same director, Nicholas Winding Refn, who led Ryan to the uber successful Drive.
The box office’s usual golden boy is being TORN APART by reviewers after being booed earlier this year at Cannes.
With words like “unwatchable” and “disaster” used to describe it, the overall verdict by movie buffs is that the flick is extra slow, boring and wayyyyy too violent.
The New York Observer‘s Rex Reed even wrote:
“Gruesomely grotesque and pathologically pretentious, a diabolical horror called ‘Only God Forgives’ may not be the worst movie ever made, but it is unquestionably in the top five.”
OUCH!
While the film might not be a masterpiece, it DOES have Ryan’s biceps in it so we doubt it could be in the top five WORST, but to each their own??! LOLz!
