Sad! But we suppose it had its time!
Sarah McLachlan announced today that after attempting to revive Lilith Fair last year to bad ticket sales, she will no longer be running the female-fronted music festival!
She explains:
“Bringing the same thing back last year really didn’t make any sense, in retrospect, without due diligence being done on how women have changed. In 12 years, women have changed a lot. Their expectations have changed, the way they view the world has changed, and that was not taken into consideration, which I blame myself for.”
Inneresting points!
However, fear not, female music lady fans, she DOES hope to update the venue sometime in the future by “carrying forth the ideas from Lilith and maybe doing something new and different.”
Nice! We DO like the sound of that, and are looking forward to how this re-imagining will manifest itself!
