Who would have ever thought an ankle could start so much drama?!
Yesterday, Selena Gomez deleted a photo off of her Instagram where she was shown at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi exposing her lower right leg.

While this ankle cleavage is considered modest in Western society, showing off one’s lower gam is considered disrespectful in Muslim culture.
To make matters worse, The Heart Wants What It Wants singer also posted a group pic where her, Kendall Jenner, Cody Simpson, Gigi Hadid, and Shay Mitchell are at the mosque laughing and smiling — two things that are also no-no’s in the Muslim religion!
Yikes!
The 22-year-old has not yet released a statement regarding the controversy.
