Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes has become a mother for the second time!
She adopted her first daughter, Harper, back in 2002, and welcomed her second daughter, Emerson Pearl, in mid-Fed.
We’re not sure how the TV writer and producer is finding the time to take care of the new tike! Just this week, Shonda held the event, Welcome to ShondaLand: An Evening With Shonda Rhimes & Friends in Hollywood!, where she spoke about the long hours she has spent rewriting the season finale — and forgot to mention ANYTHING about a new baby family member!
Apparently secrecy is VERY important to Ms. Rhimes. She admits:
“I’ve been writing adoption into storylines on my shows and only a few people close to me knew about my plans. I think the response was, ‘Oh my goodness’ from a lot of people.”
You sneaky mommy!
Well, now that she is FINALLY sharing the joyful news all we have to say: CONGRATS Shonda!!
