Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn enjoyed a cozy double date night with Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse in El Lay on May 31, and we’re digging this unlikely friendship!
According to an Us Weekly insider, the two couples “were laughing and talking” at the San Vincente Bungalows in Hollywood. This is a foursome we definitely didn’t see coming!

The eyewitness dished:
“They were at a table, just the four of them. Rob and Taylor were across from each other.”
So how exactly did these four get together? One possible link is that Miz Swift previously dated Pattinson’s hunky Twilight costar Taylor Lautner back in 2009, so the two have likely known each other for a decade!
Kirsten Stewart, also of Twilight fame, costarred with Joe in the 2016 war drama film Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, and since KStew and R-Patz are still close after their 2012 split… it could be another potential link between the four.
As we reported, when asked by The Sunday Times in April if he was still on speaking terms with exes Stewart and FKA twigs, Rob replied:
“Yes, yes. They were pretty long relationships, not like three months.”
However, he kept it tight-lipped when asked to comment on current fling with Miz Waterhouse:
“Do I have to?”
So why is Mr. Pattinson keeping things on the DL? He gives some pretty solid reasoning behind his choice:
“If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you’d think it extremely rude. If you put up a wall it ends up better.”
He continued:
“I can’t understand how someone can walk down the street holding hands, and it’s the same as when I do it and a hundred people are taking your photo. The line between when you’re performing and when you’re not will eventually get washed away and you’ll go completely mad.”
Taylor is also not one to publicize her relationships, she chooses to write songs about her breakups instead, LOLz! But she may have [thankfully] found her End Game in Mr. Alwyn! A source close to the You Belong With Me songstress quipped back in March that she could be gearing up for a proposal from her British beau:
“Taylor’s friends are all talking about a proposal and how she really wants to marry Joe. He’s her dream guy.”
