Though none of the ACTUAL “Bling Ring” burglars will be playing themselves in the upcoming Sofia Coppola flick, another person involved in the case is!
Looks like LAPD Officer Brett Goodkin will be playing himself in The Bling Ring, taking on the role of a technical adviser!
Officer Goodkin was the police officer who actually CRACKED the case of celebrity break-ins, which took place back in 2008 and 2009.
The case is still not yet closed, with trials pending for the three defendants. Goodkin hasn’t testified yet either and hasn’t even notified prosecutors in the case about his new movie role!
Well, guess they know now! Ha!
The Bling Ring‘s filming is currently underway with Emma Watson and is slated to premiere in 2013!
Hope his part in the flick doesn’t mess with the real-life case!
