Sad news for the much anticipated DJ A.M. documentary. Earlier this month, MTV received the approval from Adam Goldstein’s family to air his intervention documentary series Gone Too Far.
The show features young, real-life addicts and their loved ones while they attempt to get clean with help from Adam. However, the premiere on Monday only brought in 500,000 viewers. That’s very low for MTV standards.
We’re a bit surprised. We figured people might tune in to view the last bit of Adam’s work.
But MTV isn’t giving up hope on the show yet. According to an MTV spokesperson, the network still plans to keep the show in its time slot.
As for the reality trainwreck show Jon & Kate Plus 8 Kate Plus 8, their episode actually did better than the previous one. The show went up to 2.5 million viewers this week as opposed to 1.7 million last week.
But poor Melrose Place. People must be tired of watching Ashlee Simpson on the screen as the last episode brought in just 1.4 million viewers. That’s a 22% drop and the show’s lowest ratings yet.
Cancellation time, maybe?
