Well, that was a waste of 90 minutes…
The Walking Dead set itself up to have one of the most terrifying episodes of modern television, but instead they just pissed off all their fans with a finale that killed…
Well, we’ll get to that.
[SPOILER ALERT]
The episode began with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) enlisting most of Alexandria’s well-known faces to get Maggie (Lauren Cohan) to Hilltop to see a doctor.

Unfortunately, the Saviors — who were ready for some payback after their own had been killed — had every single road blocked off.
Rick, Maggie, Carl (Chandler Riggs), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Aaron (Ross Marquand) drove around for over an hour in their RV looking for a way out before they eventually got kidnapped by Dwight (Austin Amelio) and his friends.

That in itself wasn’t all bad… there was a certain tension to the group’s slow realization there was no way out.
They were then joined by fellow captives Glenn (Steven Yeun), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Rosita (Christian Serratos), and Daryl (Norman Reedus) — who had been taken hostage last week.
Things finally came to a head with the long-awaited introduction of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who had set up this elaborate maze to send a message to the group that they have no choice but to work for him.
Seriously — Negan did a good job of scaring the group of 11 for hours just to kill one, except…

AMC decided to keep the death a secret with a bulsh*t cliffhanger that won’t be resolved until October!
Negan definitely killed someone, we saw that — but the show refused to show WHO!
They totally blew the tension! We don’t know about you, but we definitely won’t be caring about this six months from now.
Luckily, it seems as though the rest of the Internet was just as upset about the terrible ending, because all of Twitter is up in arms:
TWD writers just lowkey ruined THE biggest moment from the comics with a damn cliffhanger. #TheWalkingDead.

An entire season of build-up only for them to take the cop-out. #TheWalkingDead

Honestly, I think the writers making the death a cliffhanger spoiled the moment #TheWalkingDead

What a cheap way to guarantee ratings for the next season’s premiere of #TheWalkingDead #WhoIsIt?

OMG…Wow…Okay…Gut in a knot for 90 minutes and now I have to wait 6 months to find out which actor is out of a job! #TheWalkingDead

Damn. That was a crappy season finale for #TheWalkingDead. I want my hour and a half back. #Yawn
