She was hoping to hit it big but now she’s behind bars!
Crystal Hernandez, a 34-year-old grandmother (wait, how old?!?) was arrested after police say she left her four children and one grandchild alone in her squalid apartment!
How squalid we talking about here?
When cops arrived at her Florida residence, they say they were overcome by the smell of urine and feces! One official described it as:
“Almost unbearable to stand!”
Authorities had been alerted by neighbors after the kids were found roaming the streets outside looking for something to eat.
Police say they found the fridge in Crystal’s apartment full of rotten food while the cupboards were completely bare.
How horrible of a parent can you be?!
So where was Miz Hernandez while her kids and grandbaby were home alone?
At the casino!
She claims she didn’t leave them to fend for themselves though since she hired a babysitter! An unseen, unknown babysitter!
Hernandez said:
“No, I didn’t leave no one. I paid a babysitter, and the babysitter left. I went to get the rent, trying to help my kids, and she left them there.├óΓé¼┬¥
Gambling is the opposite of “going to get the rent.” But what’s sad is that’s not even the most irresponsible thing she did, considering she left 5 kids alone in her filthy apartment!
She was charged with five counts of child neglect and is being held on $5,000 bond.
The children were removed from the home and Hernandez has been banned from having any contact with them.
Such a sad story. These kids deserve a better mom and grandmother than this though!
