TROTT Trains Racehorses Off The Track

horse-trott-saver-rescue.jpg
TROTT is a non-profit organization that rescues racehorses once they are retired.
Their mission statement said:

“Through rehabilitation and retraining in our professional facilities, we ensure each horse donated to TROTT has the chance to learn the new skills necessary for life as a pleasure or show horse in a non-racing home.
TROTT believes that a horse with an “education,” or basic training, has a greater chance to lead a successful life off the racetrack.”

Basically, they keep racehorses out of the slaughterhouse.
When a racehorse is retired, it is usually only 2-4 years old; still just a baby.
They train these horses so they’ll be prepared to go to a loving home, where they’ll be safe and loved.
What a great organization. Check them out HERE if U want to see if U can help.
