Uggie Wants To Help Other Dogs Get Adopted!

Uggie, actor and now writer of a memoir, wants to help his dog brethren!
The precocious Jack Russell terrier has been featured in a PETA ad, urging pet shoppers to adopt if they’re thinking of getting a new companion.
The ad (above) shows a happy Uggie stressing the importance of adoption, as over 6 million cats and dogs go to shelters every year.
PETA Vice President of Cruelty Investigations Daphna Nachminovitch says the following:

Animal shelters are full to the brim with dogs and cats who are waiting for the opportunity to become the star of a loving family.
PETA encourages everyone who is considering welcoming a canine companion into their family to save a life by adopting a homeless animal from an animal shelter—and never patronizing breeders or pet stores.
