Well, this is a real childhood ruiner…
We know there are terrible men everywhere, in every field, but this one is so disturbing and unexpected.
Jim Cummings, the voice of Winnie the Pooh and other Disney characters, has been accused of some truly horrible things by his ex-wife — who is now calling her former husband a “much smaller version of Harvey Weinstein.”

You probably wouldn’t know Jim to look at him, but you’ve definitely heard his voice if you’ve watched cartoons in the past thirty years. He took over as the new Pooh in 1988 and has continued through 2018’s live action Christopher Robin. He became the new Tigger in 2000. He was also Darkwing Duck, Pete from Goof Troop, and dozens of others.

The iconic voiceover artist and Stephanie Cummings were divorced in 2011 after a decade of marriage — they have two daughters over whom they’re fighting a custody battle eight years later.
According to Stephanie, things have only gotten worse since their divorce.

Various Sexual Deviant Behavior
In legal documents obtained by The Blast, she claims her ex “has engaged in physical, sexual and emotional abuse including but not limited to death threats, rape, and various sexual deviant behavior forced upon me without my consent.”
Ugh…
Stephanie details one incident from 2011 in which she says Jim slapped her buttocks and later “grabbed my arm, spun me around, and forcefully put his hand on the back of my neck and kissed me while holding me in place against the wall.”
He then allegedly asked her if she could “see him leaking, because that’s what I make him do when he touches me.”
All in front of their 4-year-old daughter. Ew.
Jim does not dispute the incident but instead defends it, saying his ex is distorting what was a “happy” moment in which they were “joking and laughing” together.
According to documents, he claims Stephanie “who is much taller than I am, and a large woman, made no objection to anything” at the time.
She says she filed for a restraining order after that.

Stephanie also claims Jim would “demand sex from me in exchange for meeting his support obligations” and claimed in open court Jim raped her in 2013.
She gave no more details but claims she filed a police report at the time.
As part of this pattern of sexually abusive behavior, Stephanie claimed in court Jim would grope her “without consent, would touch my buttocks, my groin, and my breasts.”
“He would hold me in place attempting to kiss and fondle me. He would spank me in front of our daughters. He would then follow up by making sexual comments to me that I found repugnant.”
One such comment?
He told their daughter he was allowed to “touch Mommy’s breasts since he had paid for them.”
An email from Jim in response to these claims was entered into evidence. He wrote:
“Shame on you, you’re [sic] distortions are obscene. ‘forcing’? Please, everyone, Gracie myself and especially YOU were all giggling and laughing, it was pleasant to have one moment of light-heartedness. We both erupted into laughter…”
Years Of Abuse
The alleged behavior continued for years.
She claims in 2015 he barged in on her while she was on a date with a police officer — who pulled his gun to get her ex to leave.
And in 2017, after she had moved to Utah with the girls, Jim came to visit and was allowed to stay the night.
Stephanie recalls waking up to Jim “standing over me with his erect penis in my hand.”
“He was using my hand to stroke his penis while my youngest daughter was asleep on the other side of me. She was 10 years old at the time.”
She continued:
“I told him to stop and get out of the house. He refused. He then came back and did the same thing, insisting I masturbate him or he would wake Lulu up. I did as he asked given his threat to wake up my daughter and my worry that I could not control what he would do in front of her.”
That was the incident Stephanie claimed caused her to file her second restraining order against him — one which is on file as lasting two years.
Drug Use
In the docs, Stephanie claims she and Jim split because of “his abuse of alcohol, marijuana, and Adderall.”
She said his unprompted visits after their split were often “while intoxicated or high on Adderall.”
Jim admits to seeking treatment for abuse of “primarily Vicodin as well as alcohol” voluntarily but maintains he never abused Adderall.
However, he claims Stephanie also has a history of drug abuse, even pointing to the couple once having entered rehab together.
Animal Cruelty
One of the most shocking claims involved the family dog.
According to Stephanie, Jim once punished the dog for peeing in the house by placing it “inside a metal bucket outside of the house on a day which it was over 100 degrees.” She says he left it there for a long time and it “came close to dying.”
Jim once again claims this is twisting of the truth, saying he put a “tub” over the dog as a training technique “at our vet’s suggestion”, admitting:
“…unfortunately I forgot the dog was there for a while, but then of course I released it.”
He says he took the dog to the vet, and it was fine.
Another time Stephanie claims Jim used a broom to “hit the puppy so hard that he shattered the puppy’s hip necessitating surgery.”
Jim’s Defense
Jim claims he has tried to work things out “amicably” with Stephanie but that she makes it impossible.
He also implies she has a mental health disorder for which she takes medication:
“She will have outbursts of hostility directed at me, and often change in her behavior and attitude comes without warning.”
Jim further claims his ex threatened to go after his public image to get what she wanted.
He says when he told her she wasn’t coming with him to the Christopher Robin premiere she threatened him:
“I will go and I will ruin your reputation… I am going to tell people Winnie the Pooh is a woman beating, drug addicted freak!”
She also claims his new girlfriend, apparently a former sex worker who testified in the trial of Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss, is being paid to “pretend to be his girlfriend.”
In Stephanie’s words:
“Winnie the Pooh lives with a whore, pays a whore to pretend to be his girlfriend, rapes and abuses the mother of his kids.”
Oof.
If Stephanie’s accusations of abuse are accurate, Jim sounds like a monster.
But this is honestly sounding pretty gross all around.
