Hawaiian Woman Adopts Dog From Shelter And Then Immediately Tries To Flip Pup On Craigslist For A Profit!

woman adopts dog from shelter
Don’t ever try and fool dog lovers! Because it’s not possible!
A Hawaiian woman adopted a 10-year-old Jack Russell terrier from a Hawaiian humane shelter recently, and the folks over there were happy to see the dog, named Sally Mae, find a home!
But about an hour later the woman had posted an ad up on Craigslist where she said the dog was 5-years-old, whereas Sally is actually 10, and the woman even had the audacity to ask for more than double what she paid in the adoption fees!
The rest of her entry read as:

“my boyfriend& I is [sic] too caught up with work since we have 2 jobs each and she needs a family that’ll give her that attention. Please.”

But luckily for Sally Mae – the dog loving community on Oahu Island recognized what was happening, and let the Hawaiian Humane Society know!
Here’s what the community relations director of the shelter said:

“We got notices from our fans on Facebook only an hour or two after the adoption, saying that a woman has posted a Craigslist ad, wearing the same clothes as the woman in our Facebook post.”

It’s definitely better for this pup to be at a shelter where they can properly care for the doggies than with someone who only wants to make money off them!
Which seems to be how the Hawaiian Humane Society felt, too! They wrote on their Facebook:

“Great News! Sally Mae was returned to us when the adopters recognized they could not care for her. She was adopted to a loving family this afternoon. We applaud them for returning her to us! They did the right thing and that’s all that matters.”

True!
In the end – that’s all that matters!
But no one can deny that the beginning and the middle of this story were extremely bizarre.
Albeit with a happy ending!!!
