She Ain't In Hogwarts No More!

Emma Watson started her freshman year at Brown University last week and we're hearing things are pretty good for the Harry Potter actress.
Seems like she's making every attempt to blend in with her fellow students and not draw too much attention to herself. And so far, so good.
However, while she may tote around in a t-shirt and be haggling in the book store for her literature books, she's still a celebrity - a celebrity with her own blog, which she used to tell us all about her first week and clear up some rumors. Emma writes:
I know according to the papers I was "definitely attending" both Columbia and Yale, but I've finally arrived at Brown University and, while I wish that I could be in three places at once, I wouldn't believe everything you read. I arrived on Tuesday and I'm having the most amazing time. I'm still so excited to be here; I've already met so many incredible people. I'm over my jet lag and now I just want classes to start!! Hope you are all well and happy, and if you've started college or university that it is everything you hope it would be.

Oh and contrary to the reports you may have read, I didn't arrive by helicopter. I've only been in one once when I was little and I was terrified. Now back to my studies! Speak soon.

my friend just started at brown and sat next to her during the convocation speech. She said she was very down to earth and sweet and seemed just like a normal girl.

My guess is that she stays maybe one year and then goes elsewhere. She is too much of a celebrity to be able to blend in with the rest of the student body. She'd do better at an urban university where she could live in an apartment of her own and just go to classes.
