Eva Longoria Parker has announced her plans to get a masters degree in Chicano studies and political science to learn about her heritage.

Eva is originally from Texas, but her family hails from Monterrey in Mexico. The actress was recently in Mexico City shooting her first Spanish-speaking role for the upcoming film Days of Grace.

Regarding her higher education plans, she told Hola magazine that she wants to “learn more about the history of the country we come from.”

No word yet on which university she plans to enroll in, but the Latina stunner already has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M!

We think a masters degree sounds fantastic!
