And while other rumored frontrunner Jerry O'Connell admitted he has yet to be approached by the ABC morning program, he would definitely have a hard time turning the offer down!
Speaking at a press event on Monday for his upcoming role on Mistresses, the actor said it would be a "dream" to work next to Ripa every morning!
He told Us Weekly:
We knew it was too good to be true…
One of the best things to come out of this whole Live! with Kelly and Michael drama is that we get to speculate for weeks about who will be taking Michael Strahan's seat next to Kelly Ripa next month!
There have been rumors that Anderson Cooper, Jerry O'Connell, and Mario Lopez are currently the front-runners for the open spot, and now one of their biggest competitors has officially dropped out of the race.
The 47-year-old spoke to UsWeekly at the Below Deck: Mediterranean premiere on Thursday where he denied rumors that he'd be taking over for Michael, saying:
The whole drama surrounding Live with Kelly and Michael has almost been out of control ever since Michael Strahan announced he would be leaving!

The insider went on to reveal that even though Jerry O'Connell is being considered, Ripa
Our hearts are just breaking!
As a longtime industry vet, we can only imagine that Chyna's loss is felt across Hollywood. In fact, many in Tinseltown have since taken to Twitter and Instagram to pay tribute to the late athlete — including Hulk Hogan, Jerry O'Connell, Alyssa Milano, and many more.

Move over, Kris Jenner!
It seems as though another stage parent may be making their presence known in Hollywood. While promoting JCPenney's new Get Your Penney's Worth campaign this week, Jerry O'Connell revealed that only one of his twins daughters is eager to follow in his acting footsteps.
The former child star dished:
"My children had to audition for [High School Musical at their school]. I had one child who did audition and I had another child who would not audition. I could not get her in there. It's pretty crazy how quickly I became a stage father."
HIGHlarious! In case you forgot, the Jerry Maguire actor has twin girls, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, with wife Rebecca Romijn.
Though it appears he'd like both of his kiddos to pursue theatre, Jerry isn't going to force their hand. He added:
Despite his confident attitude, Donald Trump was NOT the Republican winner of the 2016 Iowa Caucus!
And while we bet he probably wishes no one actually followed the results, that's just not the case. It is a huge electoral event, after all!
In fact, plenty of celebs watched the businessman lose the vote to Ted Cruz, and we personally think that some of the best parts of the politically-charged evening are their reactions!
Ch-ch-check out all the stars who reacted to the 69-year-old's 2nd-place finish (below)!
Hot momma alert!
