Katie Holmes' Education In Scientology Took Place On Bus Built From Free Labor

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooTom CruiseKatie Holmes

katie holmes studied scientology on custom built free labor bus

It just keeps getting more creepy and disturbing…

A "former high-ranking church staffer" is now saying that Tom Cruise used Scientology "free labor" to custom-build a bus for Katie Holmes to use for studying the "religion."

Here's what an internal email had to say about Cruise's custom-built bus:

"Mr. Cruise arrived at the Bluebird yesterday on set and said that it was awesome — the interior upgrades and audio visual."

"He requested that a space be figured out for placement of slippers in the front of Silver Screen as he does not want any shoes on the carpet. This is figured out; there is a drawer right at the entrance which can be used for this."

"He [Cruise] also stated that no one will be allowed to enter Silver Screen other than his personal assistants."

"He really liked the message system and asked if he could have it such that he can send out messages as well - i.e. be able to type a message. This was programmed through the night so that this can be installed and tested today before he gets to the set."

"Mr. Cruise also said that when Silver Screen arrives - he is not going to set foot in it unless COB [Chairman of the Board] has been in it first."

The Church of Scientology's former Inspector General Mark Rathbun is responsible for releasing the email, and he plans to release more soon.

Be careful, Mark! We appreciate what you're doing, and we're glad that somebody is blowing the lid on all of this, but we don't want you to get hurt.

Proceed with caution, please.

ReelzChannel Re-Releases Trailer For The Kennedys!

| Filed under: TV NewsFilm FlickersKatie Holmes

It will finally see the light of day!

Now that ReelzChannel has officially picked up the eight-part miniseries The Kennedys - after the famous family essentially blacklisted it - the network has released their OWN version of the trailer…or pretty much the one we've already seen, but now with their logo and an airdate included in the footage!

Ch-ch-check it out (above)!

Meanwhile, in spite of the controversy, the film's executive producer, Michael Prupas, is adamant that the series in historically accurate, and explains:

"It's the truth. The goal of the script from the very beginning was to tell the family story of the Kennedys. There's much written evidence of what went on in that family. They truly were a great family that has a Shakespearian story arc that resulted in many tragedies and many great successes. It is a positive reflection – but we have shown the flaws. It is blatantly obvious from many public sources that the family had certain flaws and certain problems. We weren't inventing the wheel."

And Reelz's CEO, Stan E. Hubbard, agrees:

"We don’t enjoy controversy or want to pick a fight, but the history is the history. When you watch this, there are incredible successes and unbelievable tragedies. The family stays together and they're loyal to each other and to the country throughout the highest highs and the lowest lows. The cast put their heart and soul into this, and with great care to accuracy of circumstances and visuals. We're so thrilled and proud of being able to step up and help this story be told that they so carefully created."

Well, we suppose only time will tell, but yeah…the trailer doesn't really help their argument!

Finally! The Kennedys Mini-Series Will Air!

| Filed under: TV NewsFilm FlickersKatie Holmes

kennedys-on-reelzchannel.jpg

But you might have to pay a little extra to see it.

By now you know that everyone and their mom executive producer is a-scared of incurring the wrath of the Kennedy family, so after the History Channel dropped their Kennedys mini-series like a hot tamale, no one would touch it. Not Starz, not Showtime, not FX. No one wanted to air it, but everyone wanted to see it.

And then, like a beacon of hope, the ReelzChannel came forward and accepted the honor of pissing off America's most famous family.

What? You don't know what ReelzChannel is? Course you do! It's like MTV, but with shows about movies instead of music! Okay, maybe that wasn't the best example, but you get the idea. The point is they're putting it on the TV, which means we all have a chance to watch it and finally find out what all the fuss is about and Katie Holmes will get her chance at an Emmy that her years at Dawson's Creek never afforded her! (A travesty, if you ask us!)

According to their website, the first part of the eight part series will air on April 3rd, so set your DVRS.

Oh, and check that you've actually go the station because we're led to believe that it might one of those "special" channels you need to pay more to have. Not sure, you'll have to check!

Who's excited to see this finally?!

Is The Projectionist To Blame For Sundance's First BOMB?

| Filed under: Film FlickersKatie HolmesBusiness BlitzChanning Tatum

update on sundances first bomb

Earlier today, we learned that A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints director Dito Montiel's new film The Son Of No One absolutely bombed at Sundance, despite having a pretty big cast that includes Al Pacino, Katie Holmes, and Channing Tatum.

Now, the man in charge of selling distribution rights to the film, Cassian Elwes, is blaming the projectionist for the film's "bomb" status.

The projectionist? Somehow that seems like a cop out to us. Here's what he had to say about it:

"About a month ago, Dito decided to add a card, two scenes before the end of the film, that says, 'Based on the book, Story of Milk.' That is the character's name in the film. Yesterday, the projectionist thought that meant the movie was over, and he turned the lights on. That's when people got up. They thought movie had ended. Some left, but most stayed. This nasty little piece didn't mention any of this.

It's not true that the movie is a bomb. We're got three offers, but I feel some buyers pushing their own agenda with spin to bring the price down. Meanwhile, none of the reviews have come out. Before the press rushes to judgment, why not wait to see what real reviewers think, or at least get the story right?"

We're not sure if we're buying it. Don't people usually stay through the credits at these types of screenings? And why wouldn't that card go at the end of the film? All seems a bit weird to us.

Guess we'll see if the film ends up getting distribution.

Do U think the projectionist is to blame here? Or is the film itself to blame?

New Al Pacino & Katie Holmes Flick BOMBS At Sundance

| Filed under: Film FlickersKatie HolmesChanning TatumTracy Morgan

Rough!!

The new Al Pacino and Katie Holmes movie, The Son of No One, was the first bomb of Sundance 2011.

The crime drama, which also stars Channing Tatum, Ray Liotta, Juliette Bionche, and Tracy Morgan (WTF?) was highly anticipated as it was directed by Dito Montiel, who wrote and directed A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints - a big winner at Sundance in 2006.

An audience member said most of the room walked out before the end of the film, describing the event as an "exodus."

Ouch.

It's gonna be hard for this film to get a buyer now.

Too bad for Katie. She's having a tough time and really needs a hit on her hands.

DirecTV Considering Airing The Kennedys

| Filed under: TV NewsFilm FlickersKatie Holmes

direct-tv-might-pick-up-the-kennedys.jpg

There's still hope for The Kennedys miniseries!

After The History Channel decided to not air the 8-part miniseries and Showtime rejected it, sources say that DirecTV is in talks to possibly pick up the project, starring Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear, and air it on its Channel 101.

This wouldn't be a first for DirecTV. They also saved NBC's Friday Night Lights and FX's Damages after they were on the brink of cancelation.

The company is not part of a major studio, such as Disney or NBC - which owns The History Channel - so this could be a very good sign for The Kennedys.

After all the recent publicity of the movie, we bet it'll get pretty good ratings no matter where it's shown.

Will U watch??

Katie Holmes Takes Suri To The Petting Zoo

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise

Awww!

Katie Holmes spent down time on the set of her new film Jack and Jill with her daughter Suri Cruise on Tuesday afternoon.

Katie and Suri scoped out the animals at a petting zoo in a nearby park and even pet a fuzzy wittle wabbit.

How cute! What a perfect way for Katie to spend time with her daughter.

In Jack and Jill, Katie stars alongside Adam Sandler who plays BOTH titular characters.

Could this be the next Mrs. Doubtfire?

We'll keep our fingers crossed, but we hope Suri had a great time with visiting her mommy at work!
