As Whitney Houston was laid to rest last Saturday, millions of fans said their final goodbyes.

CNN was the biggest beneficiary of the funeral, averaging five million viewers between 12:15pm and 3:45pm.

The news network doubled down on the broadcast, sending Piers Morgan, Soledad O'Brien, and Don Lemon to the church.

Fox News saw 1.38 million viewers tune in while MSNBC has 709,000. BET and E! numbers are not available but online, 7.3 million viewers were glued to their computer screens.

In contrast, many more viewers watched Michael Jackson's funeral, which averaged an astounding 31 million viewers.

The real tragedy here, like so many others that we've lost before her, is that it seems like this loss could have been prevented.

At least, according to Chaka Khan.

The icon, who herself is a recovering addict, spoke on Piers Morgan Tonight about the loss of whom she considered to be her "little sister," Whitney Houston, and she believes the troubled singer's death could have been prevented, if she had someone with her who could have kept her away from substance abuse.

In part 73 of the News of the World phone hacking saga, Heather Mills has taken to the stand.

And she's bringing Piers Morgan with her!!

Piers Morgan didn't get enough information when Alec Baldwin was kicked off American Airlines, so he needed to bring him in to get it.

And Alec told his side of the story in more depth than we've heard before. Like we never knew other passengers were tweeting when he was scolded.

We hate to say it, but if they've truly been having problems for MONTHS, then a reconciliation is probably not such a great idea…

As much as we love the idea of these two together, it's clear that things must have gotten pret-ty bad in the relationship for them to break up after eight years…and unfortunately it sounds like it would probably be more of the same if they gave it another try.

Oh look. He's using Madonna for attention again. How quaint sad.

Yesterday, Piers Morgan was a guest on The View. We presume he had a reason for being there besides mouthing off about Madge, but he couldn't help but take the few minutes out to do it anyway.

While talking about the best and worst dress at the Golden Globes, Piers took a dig at Madonna, calling her arms "grotesque" and comparing her to a "caveman."

Maturity and tack have never been his strong suits.

Piers Morgan testified via video conference regarding the phone hacking scandal during his time as Daily Mail editor.

News of the World allegedly hacked Paul McCartney's ex's phone and listen to their conversations.

When asked if he listened to any of the voicemails, Morgan admitted he did.

He even said he heard the Beatle serenade Heather Mills after an argument.

We hope the Howard haters are listening!

Last week, we were THRILLED to hear that Howard Stern signed on to be a judge on America's Got Talent!

Then, the Parents Television Council (PTC) spoke out against Howard's new gig (of course!), and Simon Cowell came to his defense, assuring the world the Howard wouldn't pull anything stupid while on the show.

Now, during an interview with Piers Morgan (above), Howard opened up about his new judging position, and he seems to be making it QUITE clear that he'll behave on the show!
