If we could turn forward time, we'd head straight to opening night!
Ever since Cher confirmed a musical based on her life was still in the works, we've been patiently waiting to hear more about the Broadway show!
And now that new details have emerged, it looks like we can officially get excited!!
The music icon has been working with Tony Award winning writer Rick Elice, who is presenting the project to producers — including Hamilton's Jeffrey Seller – on Wednesday.
According to The New York Post, Seller will co-produce with Flody Suarez, who was reportedly the one who persuaded Cher to do the musical in the first place!
The show will feature several of the pop star's hits, including I Got You Babe, Take Me Home, Believe, and If I Could Turn Back Time.
If the play gets through this round, it will be presented to the 69-year-old herself on May 20 — where she will hopefully give the final hair flip of approval.
The star previously stated that the musical would feature three different actresses portraying her at different stages in her life.
The first will play a young Cher through the "Sonny and Cher" era, followed by another portraying the songstress during her Believe tour — and a third to play the legend at the current point in her life.
With hit songs, successful producers, and a fascinating subject matter — we're pretty sure this musical is a guaranteed hit!
And now that Tituss' standout performance gave him tons of new fans, the creator of the sitcom wanted to remind the star exactly where he got his start.
In the form of Broadway showtunes, of course!
On Monday, Fey surprised audiences at the MCC Theater's Miscast Gala honoring Marisa Tomei to perform a surprise duet with Tituss of You're Nothing Without Me from City of Angels!

There's nothing we want more than for Idina and Kristen to come back as Elsa and Anna, and to be honest, we could totally see that happening!
We don't know too much else, other than that Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will be providing music and lyrics, with a book by Jennifer Lee… but this is officially the best news of 2016!!!
