A $10 dress on an Oscars red carpet? Can it be true???
According to Winona Ryder, YES!
The youthful-looking 42-year-old appears in the April issue of Red magazine, and not only looks fabulous but opens up about some of her past fashion choices.
She told the mag:
"Most of my wardrobe is vintage and I've worn dresses to the Oscars that I got for $10. At Sean Penn's last Haiti Gala I wore this vintage dress that I'd worn to a film premiere in 2005. I know that's kind of a no-no in the fashion world, but why wear something just once if you love it?"
And probably also why Winona seems so at home in the John Rocha dress and Miu Miu coat she rocks on Red's cover — it’s totally a vintage-inspired look!
See a few of the photos, and check out the Haiti Gala dress she was talking about (below)!

Winona Ryder might be trying to capture her 16-year-old youth in this blasé black ensemble…but it's totally not working!
The Beetlejuice star chose a boring (and extremely 80's looking) party dress for AARP’s Movies For Grownups Awards Gala at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Monday.
Between the awfully casual chain linked accessories and basic pumps, to the cheap looking fabric—this prom frock reject does nothing on the actress' teeny frame.
This entire outfit is so much NO.
But we sincerely hope Wino got to dance with her high school crush!

Award season fast approacheth, and with all the accolades being handed out, there's always a few boos to boot.
The annual Razzie Awards are the stick to the golden carrot of the Oscars, celebrating not the best of the year in film, but the worst!
This year, the pre-nomination ballot is a star-studded affair.
Remember, the movies and performances on this ballot didn't connect with everyone, but it's all subjective. One critic's trash can be another's guilty pleasure!
And there can be only one worst.
But you can see all the potential Razzie nominees …AFTER THE JUMP!!!
Heathers the TV show may have never worked out, but this could be the next best thing!
Start spreading the news, Heathers fans, because Heathers: The Musical is coming to New York!
The dark, cult comedy about teen suicide is hitting Off Broadway’s New World Stages next March!
Curious what the greatest high school movie of all time (with apologies to Clueless and Mean Girls) might look like on stage?
Take a look at the Dead Gay Son number from a previous version of the musical…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!
No wait- strike that third one; this will only be the SECOND Beetlejuice!
We've been so stoked for this since we heard Tim Burton and Michael Keaton were talking about it! But would it be a remaining like Frankenweenie? Would we get an all new spooky teen sidekick?
Not if Winona Ryder has anything to say about it! That's HER role! She says:
She might love these ladies just as much as the haul from her 2001 shoplifting scandal!
She's also clearing the air in V Magazine after fans turned on her for comments about giving young stars advice to succeed:
Winona Ryder was far from the Heathers type in grade school!
Actually, the actress was so bullied in junior high that she had to drop out!
Believe it or not, the doe-eyed darling who famously dated Johnny Depp was picked on for appearing gay with her pixie cut 'do!
During a chat with V Magazine, Winona revealed:
