Everyone copes in different ways!
In an interview with Style Like U, the 31-year-old admitted:

And we're off!
Naturally, Twitter had a lot to say in response to the night's biggest moments!
We've gathered all of the best reactions to catch you up on highlights from the red carpet and show (below)!
When Carrie Underwood showed up to co-host the show looking like a bonafide southern belle:
Carrie Underwood invented being perfect

When Miranda Lambert showed up with her beau Anderson East on her arm:
Brad Paisley may be a half-decent emcee, but let's be real — the CMA Awards invited him there to sing!
The cohost took the stage to perform his emotional ballad Today, and he definitely brought the emotion with him.
With his trusty guitar in hand, the country crooner made it clear he never wanted this night to end!
We have to say, the singer definitely wins the award for biggest tear-jerking performance of the night! Take that, Carrie Underwood!

Lily Tomlin kicked off the festivities by saying a few sweet words about her 9 to 5 costar; then the musical tributes began…
Finally, Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride stepped up and joined the rest of the ladies on stage for an all-star version of I Will Always Love You.
Dolly herself then took the stage, and was her gracious, funny self as always! She even made a Willie Nelson pot joke!
Ch-ch-check out the whole amazing tribute (above)!
She ain't just a host!
This time around, however, the momma opted for a way edgier look than she donned on the red carpet.
Instead of a girly ball gown, Ms. Underwood sported a torn up white dress accented with black leather. The country star even accessorized the look with a sexy tie opposed to a piece jewelry — talk about fierce!
As for the actual performance, Carrie proved once again why she's such a celebrated icon in the music industry with her incredible pipes. Not only does the 33-year-old hit all the right notes, but she also nails the theatrics necessary to bring the melody ALIVE.
So, what did YOU think of the rendition?
The CMA Awards are relaxed like a pair of old blue jeans.
And nothing says laid back like the the brother/sister style rapport between Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley!
The hosts opened the show with a little ditty about the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards, then got topical for a sec with some political cracks about nasty women and a basket of deplorables.

Get yer boots on because it's officially time for the CMA Awards!
No one knows how to kick off a show like Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley — but to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the award show, the opening performance had more stars than the confederate flag!
The star-studded opening number commenced as Vince Gill played the late Merle Haggard's Mama Tried, Carrie performed Tammy Wynette's Stand By Your Man, Brad played Buck Owens' I've Got a Tiger By the Tail with Roy Clark, and Reba McEntire belted out her hit Fancy!
The medley of hits continued with Alabama performing Mountain Music, Alan Jackson playing Don't Rock The Jukebox, Charlie Daniels playing Devil Went Down To Georgia, Clint Black performing Killin' Time, Dwight Yoakam performing Guitars, Cadillacs, and Ricky Skaggs playing Country Boy!
Ending on a heartwarming note, Randy Travis took the stage — in a major appearance since suffering a stroke back in 2013 — as all of the performers gathered around him to sing the legend's hit Forever and Ever, Amen. Awwww!
AH-Mazing! Ch-ch-check out the legendary opening number (above)!
Carrie Underwood is a princess in pink!
The stunning CMA Awards cohost arrived on the red carpet in what might just be the most glamorous look of the night!
With her full skirt, all the sparkling floral embellishments, AND the plunging neckline, there was no missing this country bombshell in her Michael Cinco ball gown!
Her perfectly curled bob and dazzling diamonds definitely made for the perfect finishing touches.
We know the Dirty Laundry songstress is going to have a lot more looks in store tonight, but we really think she started off on the right foot!
