Kelly Clarkson isn’t messing around when it comes to rumors!
On Thursday afternoon, the 37-year-old shut down fake reports on Twitter that she was using a fad diet to stay in shape, when it couldn’t be further from the truth!

The songstress wrote:
“Other fake news that’s going around about me is that I’ve been taking weird pills 4 weight loss or doing weird fad diets. All of this is not true. I ain’t got time 4 all that. I eat the same stuff I always have. It’s all just made w/different flours/sugars/ingredients.

Earlier the same day, the American Idol alum shared that someone had made a fake account to bully fans in her image:
“This is fake news & not me. What is wrong with people? I mean, I’m way too busy to be sitting around creating fake accounts. I mean, people if you’re that bored go ahead & do the world a service and maybe read a book & better yourself rather than be weird & lie to people”
The Stronger singer has been open in the past about a diagnosed thyroid issue which caused fluctuations in her weight, and shared how the book The Plant Paradox by Steven R. Gundry changed her life and diet:
“I literally read this book, and I did it for this autoimmune disease that I had and I had a thyroid issue, and now all my levels are back up. I’m not on medicine anymore because of this book. It’s basically about how we cook our food, non-GMO, no pesticides, eating really organic.”
The momma of two continued, revealing that the reason she’s looking more slender isn’t due to exercise, it’s all food:
“I’m not working out! I think people think I’m working out and I’m like, ‘Don’t think I’m going to come play some sport!'”

The three-time Grammy Award winner is no stranger to shutting down rumors on social media. In April, she shared a photo of a Star Magazine cover that alleged that she and Carrie Underwood were feuding, but it’s total fake news:
“Someone just sent me this & I’m like why does she get the good pic & I have the worst expression I’ve ever made w/zero muscles being used in my face ha! I officially have a feud w/whoever used this pic! At least give me a good pic if y’all are gonna be lying is all I’m sayin'”
When a user tweeted in response:
“Carrie didn’t get the bad pic because there is no bad pic of Carrie”
Miz Clarkson clapped right back:
“Hahaha touché, well, I have PLENTY of rough ones ha! But I guess it builds character and keeps me humble this is what I tell myself.”
We appreciate you always keeping it real with us, Kelly!
