So… they think they can dance with the stars, huh?
Laurie Hernandez and Ryan Lochte only just got back from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero two weeks ago — to devastatingly different results — but they couldn't stay out of competition mode for long!
The gold medalists are just two of the 13 celebs fighting it out on Dancing with the Stars this Fall… and the grueling rehearsal process has already begun.

As you may have seen, ABC brought Cheryl Burke out of DWTS retirement in order to give Ryan a more high-profile pro… but how does she feel about dancing alongside the shamed swimmer?
Well, according to her blog post on Wednesday, the two-time Mirrorball Trophy champ is happy to provide a distraction for her partner, saying:
It's time to see if these stars can dance!
On Tuesday, Dancing With The Stars announced on Good Morning America the celebs who would be participating in season 23 — oh, and their professional partners too. While we already knew Cheryl Burke would be returning to dance with Ryan Lochte, it was exciting to see which pros got paired up with other teased cast members like Amber Rose, Laurie Hernandez, etc.

While the ABC hit pulled in some big names for this season, we were particularly shocked to see that former Texas Governor Rick Perry signed on to put on his dancing shoes. TBH, the politician seems like he'd fit in better in the town from Footloose than on DWTS!
Anywho, be sure to ch-ch-check out the FULL list of celebs and their dancing partners (below)!
Talk about a winning duo!
As we previously reported, Ryan Lochte is rumored to have signed onto season 23 of Dancing With The Stars in order to fix his image following the Rio robbery fib. However, it seems Ryan's road to redemption may get some help from one DWTS vet as a source EXCLUSIVELY dished to us that Cheryl Burke is slated to partner with the Olympian after leaving the show in 2014 to do NBC's I Can Do That!

Well, well! Not to mention, Cheryl won't be the only pro returning to the dancing competition as it's said
Cheryl Burke thinks Rob Kardashian overreacted about his weight gain!
As we already knew, the sock mogul had, until recently, stayed off the grid after gaining over 100 pounds in one year. However, his former Dancing with the Stars partner doesn't really understand why he opted for a life of seclusion.

During an interview on Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss, the professional dancer candidly criticized the 29-year-old's decision to go into hiding once his figure got fuller.
The 31-year-old bluntly said:
"Look, everyone fluctuates. I'm surprised that he's making it a bigger deal than it is. I think that's it's fine, why does he have to go into hiding or why isn't he coming out? I think it's not a big deal."
Damn. That's kind of cold, don't you think?
While the ABC alum still had nice things to say about Blac Chyna's fiancé, she continued to stress that he still should have ventured out in public:
Ian Ziering is taking the high road with this one!
Following Cheryl Burke's public apology for claiming she wanted to "slit" her wrists after working with Ian, the actor sorta recognized the unfortunate situation on Twitter. Even though Burke's i'm sorry DIDN'T include Ziering, he's clearly choosing not to lash out!

Despite the the poppa's decision to stay silent, he inadvertently commented on the situation when his former Chippendales co-host (yea…), Jaymes Vaughan brought up the scandal via an article from The Talk.
Giving his two cents on the incident, Jaymes responded to the piece by claiming Ian was absolutely wonderful to work with. It's a refreshing thing to hear considering Burke absolutely skewered I.Z.!
Find out what the actor said in response to Vaughan's support (below)!
Cheryl Burke is backtracking HARD!
On Sunday, Cheryl issued a public apology for controversial comments she made about working with former Dancing With the Stars partner Ian Ziering. The actor appeared with Cheryl during season four of the franchise yet their partnership never made it to finals.

While things seemingly appeared fine between the two during their DWTS stint, it's now clear Cheryl did NOT have a good time shimmying around with Ian.
This past Saturday, Ms. Burke made a very insensitive remark about Ziering on the Allegedly podcast. In the heat of the moment, the dancer confessed working with I.Z. "made [her] want to slit [her] wrists".
Yikes. That's a loaded and very unfortunate statement to make.
Following a wave of backlash, the beauty took to Twitter to deliver an apology to those who struggle with depression and thoughts of suicide. Check out the full message (below):
