We now know a Guardians of the Galaxy film is in the works.
Marvel's film division intended to announce the good news at Comic-Con 2012. Unfortunately for them, the story broke earlier via Latino Review.
The film division of the comic book company didn't cry over spilled milk. They beefed up internal security and moved on to the next item on their agenda.
Oh, wait. That's what happened in an alternate universe where people who run companies behave civilly and rationally.
In THIS universe, Marvel tasked its vice president of loss prevention with making the life of Latino Review's editor a living hell until he gave up the confidential source who supplied him with the inside scoop.
In a strongly hostile letter, the VP had this to say (emphasis added by us):
When we first heard the official title for the sequel to Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger, we were intrigued to hear it would be the "most closely associated with Avengers."
In case you missed it, the Disney-owned company revealed at Comic-Con that Chris Evans' third outing as the patriotic hero will be in Captain America: Winter Soldier.
Since the official (and vague) synopsis says the flick will "pick-up where … The Avengers leaves off," we hear Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson will have major roles as Hawkeye and Black Widow's backstory will reportedly be explored.
They'll be joining Falcon — a role which may go to Anthony Mackie — and the Captain in the fight against the mysterious Winter Soldier.
So who is this guy? (SPOILER ALERT!)
It's been five years since we saw Ron Perlman protecting humanity from the underworld in Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, but it might only be a few more until he does it again in Hellboy 3.
We thought Guillermo Del Toro was done with the franchise — only because we didn't hear anything about plans for a third — but as it turns out, he's been itching for another!
While chillin' with Perlman at Comic-Con to promote their latest monster movie, Pacific Rim, Del Toro announced, "I can say publicly that now we are together in trying [to do Hellboy 3]."
According to the 62-year-old actor who plays the titular character, they want to finish the story the way Del Toro intended to finish it. The Sons of Anarchy star explained:
The AUTHORITEH may be heading BACK to join the authorities at Law & Order: Special Victims Unit!
Christopher Meloni kicked a** alongside Mariska Hargitay's Olivia Benson for 12 years, and we would get alll engorged below the midriff if the emotionally-invested Detective Elliot Stabler returned… even for one super special episode!
The direct descendent of Lilith expressed at this years Comic Con:
"I'm always willing to consider. I had 12 great years on the show. I loved the people and I loved that character."
Do it to it, Chris! They need those guns BACK to maintain Law and Order! How did they even let you LEAVE with such intimidating weapons of mass destruction.
Basically we want to swing on your arms like a jungle gym.

Congrats to X-Men star Shawn Ashmore!
The actor is engaged to marry beautiful producer Dana Renee Wasdin.
Apparently the Hollywood couple have been engaged for a while now, and plan two will tie the knot at the end of THIS month!
As the big date looms nearer, the soon-to-be hubby and wifey can't seem to keep their hands off each other.
Eyewitness at Comic Con say:
"They are a cute couple. They were together all during Comic-Con."
Nothing is cuter than a couple of nerds in love!

Joe Manganiello was part of the True Blood's super-awesome Comic-Con 2012 panel and, boy oh boy, did he have some interesting things to share.
Good gleeful greatness, did Comic-Con treat us Gleeks well or WHAT?!
We got SO many spoilers for Glee’s upcoming fourth season, which is certain to be FULL of new characters, plotlines and famous guest stars!
While Chris Colfer might be getting some one-on-one time with Sarah Jessica Parker, his co-star Lea Michele is SUPER excited to be working alongside Kate Hudson!
About Rachel Berry's NYADA teacher, Kate, Lea gushed:
