It's a bummer to be David Letterman.
Weeks ago, the Late Show host scheduled NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams to be a guest on Thursday night's show, but it's not happening now.
Last week, news broke that Williams lied about being on a helicopter that was hit by enemy fire. Since then, he's voluntarily removed himself from his news program, and canceled the Late Night With David Letterman appearance.
Some people are really upset for David because this could have been a huge interview, since it's obviously an inneresting scandal, and was set for Thursday night.
The good news is that they were able to book Tom Hanks instead, and who doesn't love Tom Hanks?!

On Wednesday night's episode of the Late Show With David Letterman, the 38-year-old confessed that after the birth of their daughter last year, his infatuation for his Gossip Girl spouse has grown even stronger!
He gushed to the legendary comedian:
He has been the host of the Late Show for what seems like ages!
David Letterman has lived, breathed, and known nothing else other than his gig on late night television, but that will all be coming to an end on the day of his last show — May 20th!
However, David recently told Regis Philbin, who guest hosted David's show on Tuesday night, that was looking forward to his retirement.
Even though he has absolutely no plans or idea about what he'll be doing then!
