After catching a peek at the cover of the new People sensationalizing Heidi Montag's addiction to plastic surgery, Emmy Rossum has had it!

The adorable actress slammed both Heidi and People Magazine on Wednesday via her official Twitter.

Tweets Rossum:

It upsets me to see young women in the spotlight advocating plastic surgery. ANY surgery is extremely dangerous&should not be taken lightly, much less, used as a tool to increase notoriety or popularity.
By putting this on magazine covers, we are somehow legitimizing the dangerous lengths to which some will go for fame and "beauty"
There are so many REAL ISSUES in this world that NEED attention. Let's try to take a moment to be grateful we are ALIVE.

Emmy Rossum will be starring in the upcoming Showtime adaptation of long-running British black comedy Shameless alongside William H. Macy.

Shameless is about a working-class family from Chicago dealing with the recession. With their mother out of the picture and father, played by Macy, constantly hitting the bottle, Emmy's character Fiona keeps her 5 younger siblings in line.

The show is an edgy one in England and we have no doubt it will possess a similar tone on Showtime, home of other dark programming like Weeds, Californication and Dexter!

We can't wait to see it!

After watching Rihanna's interview with Diane Sawyer, actress Emmy Rossum took to her Twitter to speak out about domestic violence.

She Tweets:

"Just saw the first half of the interview of Diane Sawyer speaking to Rihanna about domestic violence. She speaks honestly, bravely."

"So many of my friends have experienced this, it's very close to my heart. I urge young women - & really women of any age - to watch it."

"If someone is hurting you, or has hurt you, I urge you to tell someone. Do not be afraid to come forward,tell your friends, tell your family"

"It may be very frightening to speak up and say aloud what has happened… but do not be ashamed of what someone else has done to you."

"If you or someone you know is frightened about a relationship, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline @ 1−800−799−SAFE (7233)"

Alright, seriously - fess up already! We see the two of you together all the time. There is no need to be coy, Emmy Rossum.

While attending yet another star-studded Hollywood event this weekend (the launch of the new W Hotel in Washington D.C.) with her boyfriend Adam Duritz, Emmy remained mum as to the status of their relationship. However, she was keen to point out what a catch he is to the press. She says:

"I get why chicks dig him. He's extremely kind, incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, creative and respectful."

But even with this glowing review, she still refused to admit that she and the Counting Crow are an item. She would only offer this tid-bit in passing: "I'd be flattered if someone hit on me tonight, but I really can't say if I'm available or not."

We're still confused as to WHY she won't say they are together, but if she wants to live in denial, we'll just keep showing y'all evidence in her face until she admits it.

Emmy Rossum attended the American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala dinner at NYC's Lincoln Center last night with new boyfriend, Adam Duritz.

The Counting Crows frontman couldn't get away with his normal, hippie attire at a swanky event like this and he cleans up pretty well. We still hate the dreads, but what are you gonna do?!

He better get used to the suit and tie bit. Emmy happens to get invited to a lot of these soirees. She's classy like that.

We guess when you are in a secret marriage for almost two years, you want to be as public as possible with the next person!

Emmy Rossum only parted ways with her music business exec husband Justin Siegel in August, but now she is already linked to another guy!

In Touch Weekly is reporting that Emmy has been seen wining and dining with Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz!

The duo were seen sharing a romantic meal at Dos Caminos restaurant in New York’s SoHo earlier this month, and more recently, they shared the stage at the National Parks Conservation Association’s concert at Central Park, singing Going Back To Georgia. An insider at the concert saw the pair with "their arms around each other and were kissing."

Another source says: “They are totally dating and aren't afraid to show it.”

The man looks like an ape and yet he's made time with Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and now her! How does he do it????

The two have broken up but are said to be on amicable terms.

Sad.

But, here’s the surprising part! Turns out Rossum and Siegel pulled a Janet Jackson on us!

Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Emmy and Justin were secretly MARRIED two years ago!!!

WHAT?!?!

A source close to the former couple tells us, "Emmy and Justin decided to keep that part of their relationship a secret and out of the media spotlight. They wanted to keep it private in order to prevent their marriage from coming under scrutiny."

We understand when celebs want to keep who they’re dating a secret, but to hide the fact that you were married to someone for so long? Kudos to them for keeping their lips sealed.

Sources also add that the next step will now be filing for divorce.
